Erik Who?
Born in Genoa, Italy, of an Italian father and Swedish mother, is a founding member of the vocal group Cluster, considered one of Italy’s best.
Specialized in vocal music in all its facets, from arranging to singing, recording and producing, he has been teaching at some of the most important international festivals dedicated to the genre. To name a few:
-Los Angeles A Cappella Festival
-The Real Festival (Stockholm)
-London A Cappella Festival
-Aarhus A Cappella Festival (Denmark)
He has been the artistic director of Vocalmente Festival in Fossano (Italy) from 2017 to 2020.
After a successful run on X FACTOR ITALY, Cluster’s first album “Cement”, reached #1 on iTunes Italy for 2 weeks, granting the group a career that saw them perform hundreds of gigs all over Italy, Europe, USA, Hong Kong and Russia.
Erik’s work in the a cappella scene eventually let to nominations for more than 50 CARA (Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards) and wins for “Best Original Song”, “Best Jazz Album”, “Best European Album”, “Best Jazz Album”, “Best Holiday album”, “Best Jazz Arrangement” and “Best Holiday Song” to name a few.
His album “Revery”, made of Erik’s original choral compositions, released in 2023 with Preludio, set an outstanding record of 8 CARA wins.
Erik works for several Italian television shows such as The Voice, Amici and Voice Anatomy as producer, singer, vocal coach and beat maker.
The songs he wrote and produced for RDS Radio (Natale Reggaeton, Portami a Bailar and Il Regalo Che Vuoi) got millions of streams on Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube.
He has been writing and producing songs for Italian super stars such as Marco Mengoni and Morgan, as well as for a cappella legends such as The Swingle Singers, The Real Group and Rajaton.
Erik also works as a soundtrack composer and singer for Italian fictions and TV shows (Rocco Schiavone, Non Uccidere, La Compagnia Del Cigno).
His original choral music is published by Edition Ferrimontana GmbH (Germany).
